Week 30 - Getting Back on Track

Monday, December 1, 2008 through Sunday, December 7, 2008

I have returned to my regular riding routine. The times started out back in the 27-minute mark but slowed down as the week progressed. Saturday's time was 29:11 (I think that's the slowest since I started). Sunday's was only a little better at 28:34. Obviously I'm still tired, but things appear to be getting closer to normal.

Mental Skills Used for the Week: Continued commitment to the exercise regimen. I'm being patient as I return to my full schedule. Still using self-talk to get through the rides. Yahoo!

Are you planning to go back to running or have you transitioned to biking for the long term?

For right now, I'm biking. Once I'm back to "normal" (energy-wise), I'm going to resume running. The big decision will be whether to join a health club with an indoor track or bite the bullet and start running outside again.

Hopefully, by the end of the year, things will settle out.
